Jeremiah joined the Epicom engineering team in October 2012, just after completing a PhD in music theory at the Eastman School of Music in Rochester, NY. After several years in the Northeast, he has returned to his native Texas in pursuit of experience in software engineering and web development.
Jeremiah acquired a passion for programming when he was researching his doctoral thesis. During that time, he created several web applications for ear training and music analysis. Currently, he is on the Networking Committee for the national Society for Music Theory and continues to explore computing applications for music research.
Apart from programming and research, Jeremiah is an active violinist and composer, and has performed with numerous orchestras. As an undergraduate at Texas Tech, he studied abroad for two years in Lugano, Switzerland, where he studied violin performance. Nowadays, you can also catch him on his front porch playing guitar, or playing fiddle in the local Austin scene.
